“Here the Lord is saying to us, “If any of you is fainthearted, you will not be able to stand against the enemy.” A fainthearted person cannot take much. He has to have everything a certain way or he gives up and quits. He gets discouraged and depressed quickly. He gets his feelings hurt easily. Everything bothers him. He is touchy. If that describes you, I want you to know that you don't have to stay that way. The power of God is available to you to break that fainthearted spirit off your life.

“There is nothing wrong about having feelings, as long as you do what is right.”

“Don’t spend your time chasing blessings. Chase God, and the blessings will chase you.”

“Therefore I do not run uncertainly (without definite aim). I do not box like one beating the air and striking without an adversary. But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit]. 1 Corinthians 9:26,27”

“It is amazing the quality of human beings that are in this world if we can just get past people not dressing the way we want them to dress.”

Joyce Meyer

“Don't let your feelings be a God to you.”

Joyce Meyer

“The way anything is developed is through practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice and more practice.”

“We cannot control the temperaments we are born with; they are God’s choice. We can work with the Holy Spirit to achieve balance, but basically we are who we are.”

Joyce Meyer

“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”

“A Time for Everything To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven. ECCLESIASTES 3:1 If it seems you have been struggling forever with negative things in your life, don’t despair. There is a time and season for everything, and bad things ultimately give way to better things. Even the good things going on in your life may not stay exactly the same, because things are always changing. Sometimes changes are exciting . . . and sometimes they are difficult. But Jesus never changes—and as long as you keep your eyes on Him, you will make it through the changes in your life and continue growing. Be careful not to get too attached to people, places, positions, or things, but always be free to move with the Spirit. Let go of what lies behind and press on to what lies ahead (see Philippians 3:13-14). Reach toward the new horizon God has for you. You will be glad you did.”

Joyce Meyer

“Self-discipline is the most important quality in any life. Do you know what self-discipline is? It is keeping ourselves going in the right direction without someone making us do so.”

Joyce Meyer

“The more we focus on who we are in Christ, the less it matters who we were in the past, or even what happened to us.”

Joyce Meyer

“It is unwise to refuse to face reality; however if our reality is negative we can still have a positive attitude toward it.”
