“No matter how much you exercise, no matter how many vitamins or health foods you eat, no matter how low your cholesterol, you will still die—someday. If you knew the moment and manner of your death in advance, would you order your life differently?”

Billy Graham

“Sin was conquered on the cross. [Christ’s] death is the foundation of our hope, the promise of our triumph!”

Billy Graham

“Many Christians give in to various temptations through peer pressure and find themselves surrendering to worldly passions, justifying pleasures the world offers.”

Billy Graham

“There is no doubt that nations come to an end when they have ceased to fulfill the function that God meant for them.”

Billy Graham

“Jesus Himself was the first missionary . . .He pledged His followers to be missionaries too!”

Billy Graham

“Today . . . when Satan worship is increasing at an alarming rate, we had better be aware of him, his origin, his aims, his abilities, and his limitations.”

Billy Graham

“When we grieve over someone who has died in Christ, we are sorrowing not for them but for ourselves. Our grief isn’t a sign of weak faith, but of great love.”

Billy Graham

“By the 1960s the United States had a new ruling class—the teenager!”

Billy Graham

“Talk about God can become dreary and lackluster if God isn’t in you. Church can become a drab thing and the Bible an irksome Book if the Holy Spirit does not illuminate your soul with His indwelling presence.”

Billy Graham

“I find something new in the Bible every time I read it . . . that can be the experience of everyone who comes to it wanting to discover more of God’s truth.”

Billy Graham

“All mankind is sitting on Death Row. How we die or when is not the main issue, but where [we] go after death.”

Billy Graham

“A call for national and individual repentance is urgently needed today, or judgment is certain to fall.”

Billy Graham

“Someday this life will end, but for the Christian death also marks a beginning—the beginning of a new life with God that will last forever.”

Billy Graham

“Prayer is more than a plea, it is a place where we must spend time if we are to learn its power.”

Billy Graham

“This does not mean that God never heals in miraculous ways; I am certain that at times He does. But there are also many times when He does not. We cannot understand why some people appear to glide effortlessly through life, while others always seem to be in the throes of pain and sorrow. We cannot explain why some withered bodies are healed, while others suffer and die. We cannot know why some prayers are answered the way we hoped they would be, while others seemingly go unanswered. We cannot pretend that life in Christ will always guarantee us victory and material success as defined by human standards. On the other hand, when we tell only the stories of victory, we tell just a part of the truth. When we imply that the Christian faith involves no yoke and no burden, we tell less than the whole truth. Half-truths and easy answers are the weapons of deceit. Sometimes God brings healing, either through modern medicine or through miraculous means. But sometimes He doesn’t—and His way is always best, because He loves us and knows what is best for us. Never forget: for the Christian, this life is not all, nor should our physical well-being be our life’s highest goal. Christ is our life, and someday we will go to be with Him for all eternity.”
